Secondary School Apprenticeship

Get a head start on your apprenticeship training
Earn while you learn
Gain 16 graduation credits and
possibly a $1000.00 scholarship

The Secondary School Apprenticeship program offers students over the age of 15 an opportunity
to begin an apprenticeship while completing secondary school. Secondary School Apprenticeship
depends on employers to provide youth with real on-the-job training in their chosen field. Students
registered in a Secondary School Apprenticeship program attend regular classes toward graduation
and also participate in paid workplace training as registered apprentices. Upon grade 12 graduation,
apprenticeship students could have 480 on-the-job hours credited towards their first year
of apprenticeship training.  If you are currently working in a trade’s area and the employer
is prepared to “take you on” as a Secondary School Apprentice, please contact Ms. Aichmair
if you’re interested.
